About Josh

Primarily an athlete and scholar from the Southwest US, Josh explored photography at an early age with the family camcorder.

Shooting off and on with second hand digital cameras as a teen and the rise of social media led to a more serious interest in displaying and presenting photos.

Josh was born with a degenerative disease of the eye, known as keratoconus. Vision challenges have only served as motivation to try harder, in sports and school as well as in photography.

"Instead of choosing to see my condition as a detriment, especially in the field of visual art, I decided that my vision is unique. That makes what I do original.

I don't feel that pressure to take photos the way 'it's supposed to be done'. In some ways, my vision is my advantage."
