I've spent many years creating "aliases", or user names, handles, hashtags, whatever. Most of what you will find in the navigation of this site are simply stars in a continuously growing "constellation of creative works". Many years ago, when I first realized that a user name could be used to reflect more than just "yourname43", I searched for a handle that would let you know as much about me as possible. I was born in 1984 and I could never pin down a specific interest. I am a "jack of all trades" as they say. I created a social media handle, "artscience84", that I still believe to be an accurate introduction.

However, in 2022, it was time to add a more personal touch to this constellation. Upon joining another social media site for the first time, I decided to add my name and photo. For years, I was operating as a sort of "digital representation" of a brand. I found it difficult to balance the idea of "cold professionalism" and the warmth of an intimate social connection in the World Wide Web. So, I have shifted focus, at least for this recent addition to the constellation, towards a more personable approach. My name is Josh and I love art and science.

I have always been a writer. I excelled in school and was particularly fascinated with the concept of language. I tried to host a blog-like format on Google Sites but, a lack of certain functionality makes that a bit more work than necessary. So, most of my writing can be found, here: ArtScienceJosh.wordpress.com

This has been brewing for some time, now. I've heard plenty about cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens for the past few years, but I have finally been intrigued enough to take a deep dive into this new world. I've even minted my first NFT! Check out the NFT section, here.

Photography is one of my later-in-life passions but, it has always been around. I began sharing my work, very casually, on MySpace! Since then, it has become one of my more significant hobbies and continues to play a role throughout this entire constellation.

As far as I know, I've loved music since before I was born. Most of my best memories are attached to some form of song. When I got my first computer, one of the first things I did with it is learn how to make my own music. It's been off and on but, much like the photography, music is a major part of most of these projects.

Believe it or not, as a teenager, one of my favorite things to do was mowing the lawn! Really! It wasn't a chore. I couldn't wait for it to grow back. From there, I began to appreciate the science of it all and have been fascinated by the Plant Kingdom ever since.
